Details of the Job/Internship
IndiGo (InterGlobe Aviation Ltd) is hiring a Senior Manager - Data Privacy with experience of 7-10 years to join their office in Gurgaon, Haryana, India.
Role and Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end data privacy framework and ensure compliance with GDPR, DPDPA, and other relevant regulations.
- Lead the review and negotiation of Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) and Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
- Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) for new systems, projects, and organizational processes.
- Partner with IT and security teams to implement robust technical and organizational measures for data protection.
- Provide expert legal advisory on cross-border data transfers and emerging privacy-related regulatory requirements.
- Develop and deliver privacy training programs to promote a culture of data protection across the organization.
- Monitor changes in global privacy laws to assess and mitigate potential impacts on the airline's operations.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law (LLB is mandatory).
- 7-10 years of professional experience in data privacy and legal compliance roles.
- Deep practical knowledge of GDPR and its implementation within a corporate context.
- Mandatory certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, or CIPT.
- Solid understanding of technical and security controls related to information protection.
- Proven ability to handle multiple complex projects and collaborate across diverse departments.
