Details of the Job/Internship
Embassy Group is hiring for the position of Senior Manager/AGM - Legal with 5-8 years of experience to join their office in Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
Legal Documentation & Contract Management
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents including sale agreements, development agreements, lease deeds, MoUs, NDAs, vendor contracts, and customer agreements (in compliance with RERA).
- Ensure accuracy and legal validity of documents related to land acquisition, joint ventures, and project development.
- Review debt-related documentation such as mortgage deeds, debenture trust deeds, loan agreements, and hypothecation deeds.
Title Due Diligence & Property Matters
- Conduct and coordinate title searches, property due diligence, and legal opinion processes with internal and external legal teams.
- Scrutinize and verify property records including mutation entries, RTCs, khata extracts, and encumbrance certificates.
- Maintain updated records of title documentation and property clearances.
Compliance & Regulatory
- Ensure compliance with real estate laws, municipal regulations, stamp duty, registration laws, and RERA requirements.
- Manage RERA registrations and ongoing compliance obligations.
- Collaborate with consultants and internal departments for regulatory approvals and documentation.
Cross-Functional Coordination & Advisory
- Partner with Sales, Projects, CRM, and Finance teams to provide timely legal inputs for transactions and customer documentation.
- Respond to internal queries and support closure of commercial and customer-related matters.
Registration & Records Management
- Handle execution and registration of property documents at sub-registrar offices.
- Maintain a centralized repository of legal documents (physical and digital), ensuring proper tracking of obligations, deadlines, and renewals.
Eligibility
- LLB from a recognized university; certifications in real estate law or contract management are an advantage.
- 5–8 years of relevant non-litigation experience in real estate or infrastructure sectors.
- Strong expertise in property laws, real estate regulations, due diligence, and RERA compliance.
Salary/Stipend
