Details of the Job/Internship

Mondee is hiring for the position of Senior Manager-Compliance & Legal with 8-10 years of experience to join their office in Hyderabad.

Role and Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted legal advisor to senior leadership on corporate, commercial, and compliance-related matters.
• Oversee all legal functions across group companies, covering corporate law, commercial contracts, labor law, data protection, and IP.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide array of agreements including customer contracts, vendor agreements, shareholder/investor documentation, NDAs, and SLAs, ensuring legal soundness and business alignment.
• Ensure enterprise-wide compliance with Indian and U.S. regulations, including Companies Act, FEMA, SEBI, RBI, labor laws, and IT/Data Protection laws.
• Manage statutory filings, board documentation, and regulatory reporting requirements across group entities.
• Develop and implement legal and compliance frameworks, policies, SOPs, and internal controls.
• Engage and coordinate with external legal counsel on litigation, disputes, and regulatory investigations.
• Support M&A transactions, due diligence, ESOP structuring, and other strategic initiatives.

Eligibility

• LLB and Company Secretary (CS) qualifications are mandatory.
• 8–10 years of post-qualification experience in legal and compliance roles, preferably within tech or digital sectors.
• Strong command of Indian corporate, commercial, and employment laws; working knowledge of U.S. legal and regulatory systems.
• Experience managing legal operations in multi-entity group or holding company structures.
• Hands-on experience with SaaS contracts, data privacy regulations, intellectual property, and platform-specific legal frameworks.
• Excellent contract drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence decision-makers at the leadership level.
