Details of the Job/Internship

Razorpay is hiring for the position of Senior Manager, Group Compliance with 10+ years of experience to join their office in Bengaluru. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all applicable legal, regulatory, and internal policy frameworks across Razorpay’s business lines.
• Design and implement compliance frameworks to adhere to RBI, NPCI, and global payment network guidelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders from Product, Legal, Business, and Risk to interpret and operationalize regulatory requirements.
• Stay current on evolving regulations and provide strategic guidance to senior leadership on impact and implementation plans.
• Support international expansion by managing end-to-end compliance processes, including license applications and post-license governance.
• Oversee regulatory filings, handle audits, and interface with regulators and external auditors.
• Drive awareness and understanding of compliance obligations across internal teams.
• Play a leading role in responding to regulatory inspections, audits, and risk assessments.

Eligibility

• 10+ years of experience in compliance, regulatory audits, or financial/legal risk management, preferably in the fintech or banking sector.
• Deep understanding of Indian payments ecosystem, particularly RBI, NPCI, and SEBI guidelines.
• Exposure to international compliance and licensing frameworks, especially in Southeast Asia (SEA) markets, is a strong advantage.
• Ability to independently manage complex regulatory matters and multiple stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and drive regulatory strategy across business units.
• A proactive, analytical, and solution-driven approach to problem-solving.
• Prior experience handling regulatory inspections and enforcement reviews is highly desirable.
