Details of the Job/Internship
Tejraj Group is hiring for the position of Senior Manager – Legal & Compliance with 12 years of experience to join their office in Pune.
Role and Responsibilities
1. Legal Advisory & Risk Mitigation
- Advise on business operations, project development, contracts, and land-related matters.
- Identify legal risks and devise risk mitigation strategies.
- Track legal and regulatory changes, especially in real estate laws.
2. Contract Management
- Draft, review, and negotiate agreements including JV, land purchase, vendor, lease, NDAs, MoUs, etc.
- Maintain a centralized contract repository and ensure standardization.
- Assess legal and commercial viability of contracts.
3. Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure timely compliance with RERA, company law, land acquisition acts, environmental and labour laws.
- Maintain compliance checklists, dashboards, and coordinate with stakeholders for filings.
4. Litigation Management
- Manage and monitor all ongoing legal proceedings (civil, consumer, arbitration, criminal).
- Liaise with external counsel, prepare case briefs, and represent the company as required.
5. Land & Property Due Diligence
- Conduct legal scrutiny and title verification.
- Review sale deeds, development agreements, and coordinate with government authorities for approvals.
6. ERP Compliance Integration
- Integrate legal workflows into ERP systems.
- Work with IT teams to digitize documentation and automate legal processes.
- Ensure regulatory changes are reflected in ERP modules.
7. Governance & Policy Development
- Create and implement legal policies, SOPs, and governance frameworks.
- Lead internal legal audits and compliance reviews.
- Educate and train teams on legal and regulatory best practices.
8. Licensing & Approvals
- Facilitate statutory approvals from authorities such as municipal corporations, planning bodies, RERA, SEIAA, etc.
- Ensure end-to-end project compliance.
9. Legal Reporting
- Prepare regular legal MIS reports, compliance dashboards, and board-level summaries.
- Track legal expenses and maintain up-to-date case documentation.
Eligibility
- Education: LLB (Mandatory), LLM (Preferred).
- Industry Exposure: Extensive experience in the real estate sector is essential.
- ERP Experience: Minimum 2 years working in ERP-integrated environments.
