Details of the Job/Internship

Dhruva Advisors India Pvt. Ltd. is hiring a Senior Manager – Legal Counsel with experience of 8+ years to join their office in Mumbai. This is a full-time role serving as the lead lawyer for India operations across Dhruva Advisors and its joint venture with Ryan in the Asia-Pacific region. The position involves close collaboration with business leaders, corporate functions, external counsel, and regional management to ensure legally compliant, commercially sound, and strategically aligned operations.

Role and Responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate Client Engagement Letters, Standard Terms of Business, Non-Disclosure Agreements, and other client, vendor, employment, and strategic partner contracts.
• Provide commercial legal advice and advocacy support to senior leadership in high-risk scenarios.
• Anticipate, identify, and manage legal risks, including disputes and litigation matters, and develop legal strategies with external counsel where required.
• Track and maintain statutory compliance across the region, including corporate governance and employment laws.
• Support the Dhruva-Ryan Joint Venture’s Board of Directors and facilitate corporate governance processes.
• Support global employment counsel on employment matters.
• Facilitate POSH Committee activities and coordinate with Ryan’s Ethics and Compliance team to implement training and policies.
• Monitor changes in the legal environment and advise on appropriate company responses.

Eligibility

• Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 8+ years of relevant post-qualification experience.
• LL.B. or LL.M. from a reputed law university in India or a National Law University.
• Strong exposure to consultancy, tax advisory, or professional services organisations preferred.
• Proven experience in client contracting, vendor agreements, and employment law.
• Strong leadership skills, including presenting to and influencing senior management, team management, mentoring, and coaching.
• Ability to advocate for and represent Ryan and Dhruva India effectively.
• Self-starter with the ability to execute with urgency and accuracy in a deadline-oriented environment.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical, and judgement skills.
• High professional integrity and transparency.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with SharePoint or document management systems.
• Demonstrated ability to build internal and external networks.
