Details of the Job/Internship
Haleon is hiring a Senior Manager – Legal Counsel (IP) with experience of 8–14 years to join their office in Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high-performance team of IP professionals within a collaborative culture.
- Oversee the maintenance, renewal, recordal, and filing of global trademark and copyright portfolios.
- Manage IP docketing systems to ensure data accuracy, deadline compliance, and robust reporting.
- Coordinate with external counsel on billing, matter management, and quality of data entry.
- Draft, negotiate, and finalize trademark licenses and assignments in alignment with business goals.
- Manage patent renewals and oppositions, escalating complex matters to specialized patent counsel.
- Implement process improvements, automation, and standardization in partnership with Legal Operations.
- Drive regular quality assurance reviews and portfolio audits to ensure global audit readiness.
Eligibility
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) or equivalent legal qualification.
- 8–14 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in IP operations or in-house legal functions.
- Proven experience in people management, including hiring and performance coaching.
- Expert knowledge of trademark/copyright maintenance and IP docketing tools.
- Familiarity with multi-jurisdictional IP workflows and anti-counterfeiting strategies.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
