Details of the Job/Internship

Whirlpool India is hiring a Senior Manager, Legal General with experience of 8–11 years to join their office in Gurugram.

Role and Responsibilities

• Manage corporate legal activities and litigation to provide practical and solution-oriented advice to the business.
• Represent the company before courts, tribunals, and government authorities, make submissions, coordinate with external counsels, and control litigation strategy.
• Utilize litigation management tools to monitor cases and strengthen reporting while working with safety teams to reduce risks.
• Partner with business teams to advise on legal implications of plans and prepare, negotiate, and review commercial agreements.
• Advise on regulatory frameworks including legal metrology, licensing, factory laws, labor laws, and product regulations to ensure compliance.
• Evaluate policies relating to antitrust, competition law, conflict of interest, EHS, and anti-bribery, and conduct policy trainings.
• Lead waste management regulatory advisory, including authorizations, licenses, and monitoring processes.
• Develop and oversee processes to implement regulatory and compliance requirements and manage the compliance management tool.
• Oversee relationships with regulatory authorities and industrial bodies and act as a subject matter expert on local regulations.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments relevant to India and SAARC and update teams accordingly.
• Liaise with statutory and regulatory authorities as required.

Eligibility

• LLB.
• 8–11 years of experience with an MNC or large corporate house.
• In-depth knowledge of factory laws, pollution laws, legal metrology, and labor laws.
• Understanding of legal aspects and practical functioning of FMCG companies.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
