Details of the Job/Internship

CFM Asset Reconstruction is hiring a Senior Manager Legal with experience of 7+ years to join their office in Mumbai.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft and vet documents related to the Assignment of Loans and various statutory notices under the SARFAESI Act 2002.
• Initiate and manage legal actions for the recovery of dues before DM/CMM, DRT, and NCLT.
• Handle high-stakes civil and criminal litigation and represent the company at various Quasi-Judicial forums.
• Draft and vet complex legal pleadings including plaints, written statements, affidavits, and petitions.
• Enforce security interests and oversee the follow-up of cases in appellate courts and tribunals.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external advocates under the guidance of the President Legal.
• Ensure all actions comply with relevant guidelines from RBI, SEBI, FEMA, and the Companies Act.
• Travel frequently at a Pan-India level on short notice to defend or initiate legal cases as demanded by management.

Eligibility

• Educational Qualification: LLB or LLM degree.
• Professional Experience: Minimum 7 years of legal experience in Banks, Financial Institutions, NBFCs, or ARCs.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of the SARFAESI Act, DRT Act, IBC 2016, and laws relating to banking and allied sectors.
• Key Competencies: Proactive multi-tasker with strong business understanding and effective communication skills.
• Availability: Comfortable with frequent nationwide travel for court appearances and case management.
