Details of the Job/Internship

Godrej Agrovet Limited is hiring a Senior Manager – Legal with 7–10 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai and independently handle litigation, arbitration, and contract management responsibilities.

Role and Responsibilities

• Independently handle litigation and arbitration; represent the company in courts and tribunals.
• Understand disputes, gather documents, and brief lawyers/solicitors.
• Evaluate legal options and coordinate timely movement of cases.
• Prepare and finalize legal documents, plaints, replies, and arbitration records.
• Train business units on notice handling and ensure timely responses.
• Use legal case management platforms and promote awareness.
• Review and modify existing agreements based on legal and business changes.
• Draft new commercial and legal agreements in consultation with Head Legal.
• Ensure legal compliance in documents and transactions.
• Conduct due diligence in leave & license, lease, and property purchases.
• Advise units on contract obligations and consequences of breaches.
• Provide legally valid advice and consult Head Legal or external counsel when necessary.

Eligibility

• LL.B / LL.M from a Tier-I law institute in India.
• 7–10 years of general corporate, banking, and finance experience in a law firm or multinational corporation.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Ability to influence decision-makers and translate complex legal concepts into practical solutions.
• Capability to work in a matrixed, team-based environment.

Salary/Stipend
