Details of the Job/Internship

NielsenIQ hiring a Senior Manager, Legal Counsel to join its India Legal Team based in Mumbai.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial contracts, including MSAs, SOWs, licence agreements, and data licences.
• Support HR teams on labour and employment matters and collaborate with global L&E teams.
• Assist in drafting and implementing employment-related policies and guidelines.
• Provide legal input on investigations, people actions, and employment-related recommendations.
• Manage compliance matters, including POSH advisory, training, and awareness programmes.
• Support corporate governance practices and maintain compliance frameworks.
• Provide cross-functional legal support to finance, tax, technology, privacy, security, IP, and HR teams.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments impacting India commercial and hub operations.
• Identify gaps and improvement opportunities in legal processes and documentation.
• Coordinate with external counsel on litigation matters, including legacy employment cases.
• Support privacy-related legal matters and frameworks.
• Act as a strategic partner supporting growth initiatives for commercial and hub operations.

Eligibility

• Qualified lawyer with an LL.B.; LL.M. is an added advantage.
• Minimum 10 years of professional legal experience.
• Prior experience in a law firm and/or multinational in-house role is preferred.
• Experience in employment matters, litigation management, and labour advisory.
• Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently within a global and fast-paced environment.
• Interest in legal technology and process simplification.

Salary/Stipend
