Details of the Job/Internship
PaRa Music is hiring a Senior Manager – Legal (Music IP) with 10 years of experience to join its Mumbai headquarters.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate artist, production, composer, lyricist, and performer agreements.
- Structure and secure master ownership and publishing rights.
- Ensure robust IP assignment and transfer documentation.
- Oversee copyright registrations and maintain IP records.
- Draft and negotiate licensing, distribution, and brand integration agreements.
- Manage platform agreements across digital platforms and handle infringement issues.
- Draft NDAs, vendor, consultancy, and partnership agreements.
- Develop legal SOPs and maintain contract repositories.
- Provide legal risk advisory and coordinate with external counsel.
Eligibility
- 10 years of post-qualification legal experience.
- Mandatory experience in the music industry, platforms, or labels.
- Strong knowledge of Indian copyright law and IP structures.
- Proven experience in drafting music-related contracts and licensing agreements.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and risk assessment skills.
- LLB mandatory; LLM in Intellectual Property Law preferred.
- Ability to work independently with high ownership and attention to detail.
