Details of the Job/Internship

Mind Merchants is hiring for the position of Senior Manager/Manager_Contracts Management with 7+ years of experience to join their office in Chandigarh. 

Role and Responsibilities

Corporate Legal Expertise

• Deep understanding of corporate law with specialization in:
• SaaS agreements, IT contracts, software licensing, hardware procurement, support, and maintenance agreements.
• Global partnership agreements and cross-border legal considerations.
• Proficient in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of legal contracts.
• Experience in arbitration and dispute resolution processes.
• Industry Focus – Media & Content (Preferred).
• Experience in the Media and Content sector highly desirable.
• Expertise in media contracts, content licensing, and distribution agreements.

Contract Lifecycle Management

• Manage end-to-end contract processes including:
• Drafting, redlining, negotiation, abstraction, and summarization.
• Ensure accurate storage, version control, and compliance tracking.

Contract Drafting & Review

• Draft and review a broad spectrum of contracts, such as:
• NDAs, MSAs, SaaS agreements, IT service agreements.
• Software/technology licensing, vendor maintenance, subcontractor agreements.
• Work with pre-agreed templates and internal legal guidelines.

Contract Management Platforms

• Implement and oversee contract management tools and systems across departments.
• Streamline processes for scalability, compliance, and efficiency.

Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure adherence to all legal, regulatory, and compliance standards.
• Identify, mitigate, and manage contractual risks and obligations.
• Team Leadership & Coordination.
• Lead a team of 5–6 legal professionals.
• Identify legal requirements, manage deliverables, and provide guidance on contract matters.
• Develop and deliver training sessions for team upskilling.
• Maintain a centralized and structured legal database.

Project & Stakeholder Management

• Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for contract management-related queries.
• Coordinate closely with in-house legal, business, and operational teams.
• Manage and execute live legal projects independently.

TAT & SLA Monitoring

• Manage Turnaround Times (TATs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Track performance, enforce deadlines, and ensure timely contract closures.
• Provide legal solutions in real-time to address bottlenecks or disputes.

Eligibility

• Undergraduate: LLB or BA LLB
• Postgraduate: LLM (Preferred but not mandatory)
• PQE: 7+ years
