DESRI Holdings, L.P. (DESRI) is a leading renewable energy company which develops, acquires, builds, owns, and operates solar and wind renewable energy generation facilities in the U.S.A. DESRI currently owns, operates, or has an exclusivity agreement or signed purchase and sale agreement in place with respect to more than 10 GW of solar and wind assets in the U.S. across 80+ projects. Details of the Job/Internship
DESRI is hiring a Senior Manager/Manager – Legal Counsel for its Hyderabad, Telangana office. Candidates must have 5 to 8 years of transactional experience.
Role and Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for advising DESRI on general transactional matters and supporting a dynamic commercial team.
- In doing so, you will work with deal teams, asset managers, and attorneys in other offices of DESRI to respond to ongoing matters related to the portfolio, including reviewing, drafting, and negotiating wide range of project contracts such as financing agreements, amendments to and consents under financing arrangements (including with debt, tax equity, and/or equity investors), EPC, O&M agreements, consultant agreements, services agreements, and other types of agreements to support various phases (including development, financing, construction, and operational) of our solar, wind, and storage projects.
- Additionally, you will also provide education and training on various topics, including the company’s legal policies and procedures, and assist in the training and development of the business teams by expanding their understanding of legal and compliance frameworks, trade-offs, and associated documentation.
Eligibility
- A Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in law with a proven record of academic achievement and 5 to 8 years of transactional experience, including managing deals, drafting, reviewing high value commercial agreements, and advising clients and financing parties directly.
- Well-developed analytical abilities, communication and organizational skills, and attention to detail, as well as a deep interest in exploring and learning new areas of the law.
- A keen sense of judgement and demonstrated ability to take initiative and collaborate with colleagues in support of highly complex transactions.
- Renewable energy experience .
- Experience in U.S. contracts or cross border transactions with U.S. counterparties.
