Details of the Job/Internship
Biocon Biologics is hiring a Senior Manager – Intellectual Property (Patents) with 13–15 years of experience to join their Bengaluru office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Manage patent filing, drafting, prosecution, and maintenance activities.
- Maintain the patent portfolio and collaborate with R&D for IP strategy development.
- Conduct IP clearances for R&D and commercial teams.
- Review and analyze patent claims for FTO, infringement, validity, and prior art.
- Draft and file patent applications in multiple jurisdictions.
- Handle office actions, oppositions, and patent litigations.
- Coordinate with external attorneys and manage patent prosecution teams.
- Support due diligence for product in-licensing and monitor competitor IP.
- Plan IP budgets and prepare strategic reports.
Eligibility
- PhD in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Microbiology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, or Biochemistry.
- LLB from a reputed institution.
- 13–15 years of experience, preferably in an in-house IPR department or patent law firm.
