Deendayal Port Authority is one of the Major Ports in the Country functioning under the administrative control of Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways. Prior to 2021, the Port was governed by the Major Ports Act 1964, however after 2021, the Major Port is governed by Major Ports Authorities Act 2021.

Details of the Job/Internship

Deendayal Port Authority is looking for a candidate for the position of Senior Manager with 10 years of experience to join them at their office.

Role and Responsibilities

• Providing strategic vision & plan in the implementation of various initiatives of the Port for better image building.    
• Managing a team, establishing goals and objectives, managing performance and deliverables, and developing and mentoring staff.    
• Advising and acting on review and providing legal advice on tender documents.    
• Liaising with relevant Departments to ensure that where legal risks have been identified, appropriate courses of action have been taken.    
• Providing legal protection and risk management advice to Management especially on contract management.    
• Also taking care of policy development, litigation management, regulatory compliance, contract negotiation etc. 

Eligibility

• Degree in Law from a recognized National/International University.
• Master's degree in Corporate / Maritime Law from a recognized National/International University.
• Upper Age Limit: 45 years.
• 10 years of work experience in the Legal wing of Corporates. Proven track record in contract negotiation and drafting.
• Experience in Port/Shipping Sector. Practicing experience as an Advocate.

Salary/Stipend

Monthly Remuneration: Rs. 1,60,000
