Details of the Job/Internship

J.K. Fenner (India) Limited is hiring for the position of senior manager with 15-20 years of experience to join them in their Chennai office. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Assess the legal risk that may arise during organization's business activities and ensure that organizations activities comply with applicable laws and regulations.
• To take full ownership of any Legal issues effectively so as to minimize exposure of the organization to claims and litigation.
• To Co-ordinate with the local authorities, external law firms on court proceedings.
• To provide solutions within legal framework for smooth achievement of business objectives.
• To advise Senior Management on all legal matters.
• To support in legal vetting of Agreements, Business contracts, SLA/NDA/MSA with Vendors and Customers & must have hands on experience on vetting the agreements through a tool.
• To support in tasks such as Scrutiny of Land documents, Drafting of various agreements/ etc.
• Keep abreast of legislative changes that may affect the organization.
• To ensure Statutory compliance under various laws, as applicable to the organization & must have hands on experience on tracking compliance through a dedicated compliance tool.

Eligibility

• A qualified Company Secretary (optional) & a Law graduate with 15 to 20 years of experience having worked in a medium/large manufacturing company.
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of corporate and other laws, legal requirements, and procedures.
• High degree of professional ethics and integrity. Sound judgement and ability to analyze situations and information.
• Good communication skills.
• Strong administrative skills and an aptitude for using IT software.
• Interpersonal skills. Excellent organisation and time management.
• Flexible and practical approach to work.

Salary/Stipend

Compensation details will be finalized during the interview process with the selected candidate.
