Details of the Job/Internship
Larsen & Toubro is hiring a Senior Manager - Legal with experience of 7–8 years to join their office in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
Role and Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end drafting and negotiation of MSAs, foundry service contracts, IP licensing, and joint venture agreements.
- Develop and maintain legal templates, negotiation playbooks, and toolkits to strengthen business contracting capabilities.
- Advise on IP ownership and protection strategies for chip designs and manufacturing processes in coordination with R&D teams.
- Ensure organizational compliance with global export control laws such as EAR, ITAR, and the Wassenaar Arrangement.
- Interpret international legal frameworks including GDPR, DTAA, and local IP laws across key markets like the US and Japan.
- Manage potential litigation and arbitration by drafting notices and vetting replies to vendors, customers, and government agencies.
- Provide legal due diligence and contract structuring support for M&A and strategic alliances.
- Conduct in-depth legal research and render formal opinions on regulatory developments and contract law.
Eligibility
- LL.B. or equivalent legal qualification; candidates with an LL.M. are encouraged to apply.
- 7–8 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE), ideally with a mix of law firm and in-house roles.
- Proven track record in leading complex technology transactions and commercial negotiations.
- Strong grasp of Intellectual Property (IP) law and international trade compliance.
- Experience in the semiconductor, electronics, or high-technology sectors is highly preferred.
- Ability to independently handle critical matters and train junior legal staff.
