Details of the Job/Internship
Lupin is hiring a Senior Manager – Legal with 7–12 years of experience to join its office in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
Role and Responsibilities
- Strategize trademark adoption, opposition, and enforcement measures.
- Initiate, review, and respond to trademark opposition proceedings.
- Advise internal and marketing teams on branding and IP risk mitigation.
- Handle trademark restoration, secondary evidence submissions, and settlements.
- Advise on trademark protection strategies including cease and desist notices.
- Ensure protection of company and subsidiary house marks across jurisdictions.
- Assist litigation teams on trademark-related matters.
- Conduct trademark due diligence for mergers and acquisitions.
- Draft and evaluate trademark-related clauses in transaction documents.
- Advise on trademark aspects of product artworks and advertisements.
- Review compliance under Drugs & Cosmetics Act, Legal Metrology Act, FSSAI, and related laws.
- Engage in cross-functional and external legal consultations on compliance amendments.
- Draft legal representations to government authorities for compliance matters.
Eligibility
- Graduation in Law.
- 7–12 years of post-qualification experience.
- 2–3 years of law firm experience in trademark law preferred.
- Preference for candidates from pharmaceutical or FMCG industries.
