Details of the Job/Internship
Oaktree Capital Management, L.P. is hiring a Senior Manager, Legal with experience of 6–9 years to join their office in Hyderabad.
Role and Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end review and negotiation of third-party commercial contracts, including MSAs, SOWs, and NDAs.
- Advise internal business partners on legal and regulatory implications across multiple global jurisdictions.
- Support and optimize contract lifecycle management (CLM) processes and SharePoint workflows.
- Maintain and standardize contract templates, playbooks, and internal guidelines for the global legal team.
- Monitor and provide guidance on regulatory issues, including data privacy, cybersecurity, and AML.
- Collaborate closely with global HR, Compliance, and Accounting departments to ensure cross-functional alignment.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks associated with vendor engagements and corporate operations.
- Lead projects related to internal process improvements and legal tracker management.
Eligibility
- Law degree and relevant professional legal qualifications.
- 6–9 years of experience within a law firm or the financial services/asset management industry.
- Proficiency in identifying, assessing, and mitigating legal, regulatory, and commercial risks.
- Extensive experience in drafting and negotiating a wide variety of commercial and vendor agreements.
- Specialized experience in contract management and proficiency with CLM tools is an added advantage.
- Exceptional English writing, drafting, and communication skills are mandatory.
- Ability to manage ambiguity and engage effectively with senior business stakeholders.
- Willingness to relocate to Hyderabad for this full-time role.
