Details of the Job/Internship
Waaree Group is looking for a candidate for the position of Senior Manager with 10 to 15 years of experience to join them at their office in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts for Sales, EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction), IPP (Independent Power Producers), Export/Import, procurement and other business related documents.
- Handle contracts ranging in value from ₹10 Crores to ₹1000 Crores, ensuring clarity, risk mitigation, and alignment with company policies.
- Develop and implement contract templates and guidelines for diverse transactions.
- Manage contracts for both domestic and international stakeholders, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and industry standards.
- Address jurisdiction-specific requirements, especially for deals involving China, the USA, and other key markets.
- Provide advisory support for global supply chain contracts, including logistics and customs considerations.
- Lead contract negotiations with vendors, suppliers, and customers to secure favorable terms while maintaining strong business relationships.
- Navigate complex negotiations with international vendors and stakeholders, particularly in China and the USA.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., procurement, sales, operations) to align contract terms with operational goals.
- Identify, assess, and address legal and commercial risks in contracts.
- Provide strategic recommendations to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with corporate policies and legal requirements.
- Monitor regulatory changes and their impact on existing and future contracts.
- Maintain organized records of all contracts (soft/hard copy) and associated documentation for audit readiness and ease of access.
- Ensure adherence to corporate governance and documentation standards.
- Act as a liaison between legal, sales, procurement, and other relevant teams to ensure seamless execution of contracts.
- Support internal stakeholders with contract interpretation and dispute resolution.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law (LLB/LLM).
- 10–15 years of hands-on experience in contract drafting, review, and negotiation for high-value contracts (₹10 Cr–₹1000 Cr).
- Expertise in EPC, IPP, sales, and procurement domestic & international contracts.
- Exceptional knowledge of domestic and international contract law.
- Proven track record of negotiating with vendors and customers from China and the USA.
- Strong analytical, drafting, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent understanding of risk management, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in MS Office and contract lifecycle management tools.
- Familiarity with international trade laws, INCOTERMS and regulations.
