Details of the Job/Internship
Scintillation Research is looking for a Senior Patent Analyst to join their team. As a Senior Patent Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in our intellectual property team, focusing on patent preparation, competitive intelligence, and patentability analysis. Role and Responsibilities
- Patent Preparation: Collaborate with inventors and legal teams to draft high-quality patent applications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Competitive Intelligence: Conduct comprehensive research and analysis of competitor patents, technology landscapes, and market trends to identify strategic opportunities and risks.
- Prior art Searches: Evaluate patentability of inventions through thorough prior art searches, analysis of technical documents, and assessment of novelty and non-obviousness criteria.
- IP Portfolio Management: Assist in managing intellectual property portfolios, conduct infringement Searches, claim charting and so on.
Eligibility
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, science [except for life sciences) required; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in patent analysis, drafting, or related roles, with a strong understanding of patent law and procedures.
- Proficiency in patent databases, search tools, and analytical software (e.g., Patseer, Orbit, Derwent).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings to stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, critical thinking abilities, and a passion for intellectual property and innovation.
