Details of the Job/Internship

Khurana & Khurana is hiring a Senior Patent Attorney/Agent/Professional – Chemistry for a full-time, on-site role based preferably in Greater Noida, Bangalore, or Pune. The role focuses on drafting patent specifications for Indian, US, and European markets in the chemistry, chemical, and life sciences domain. The position primarily involves drafting patent applications along with prosecution support, including preparation of FER responses, peer reviews, hearings, due diligence, patent strategy development, and ensuring compliance with applicable legal standards. The role also involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and direct interaction with clients.

Role and Responsibilities

• Drafting patent specifications and applications for Indian, US, and European jurisdictions in the chemistry domain.
• Handling patent prosecution support, including preparation of FER responses, peer reviews, and participation in hearings.
• Conducting patent due diligence and supporting patent strategy development.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable patent laws and legal standards.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary internal teams and liaising with clients on patent matters.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in chemistry or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in drafting, preparing, and reviewing patent applications.
• In-depth understanding of patent law, including prosecution and compliance.
• Experience in due diligence and patent strategy advisory.
• Strong analytical and research skills in chemistry-related domains.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in interdisciplinary teams.
• Registration with relevant patent authorities or bar association is preferred.
• Client-focused mindset with experience in managing long-term client relationships.
