Details of the Job/Internship

Allied Globetech is hiring a Senior Privacy Counsel with a minimum of 8 years of experience to support data protection and privacy compliance.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide legal opinions on data processing activities, cross-border data transfers, and privacy impact assessments.
• Draft, review, and negotiate data processing agreements and processor contracts in line with DPDPA and IRDAI requirements.
• Advise on regulatory compliance related to data protection and privacy obligations.
• Prepare and manage regulatory correspondence with IRDAI and other authorities.
• Support litigation and dispute resolution involving data protection issues.
• Develop and maintain privacy policies, procedures, and contractual templates.
• Collaborate with legal, compliance, security, and business teams to embed privacy requirements into operations.
• Monitor developments in data protection and insurance laws and provide guidance to leadership.

Eligibility

• Law degree with specialization in data protection.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in data protection and privacy law.
• Proven experience in drafting and negotiating data processing and processor agreements.
• Strong understanding of insurance regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with privacy-by-design principles and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience in policy development, regulatory engagement, and litigation support.
• Knowledge of GDPR and DPDPA, with strong analytical and cross-functional communication skills.

Salary/Stipend
