It conducts law and policy research, strategic litigation, and governance interventions. CLPR focuses on discrimination faced by caste, gender, disability, and minority groups. The organisation aims to make the Constitution work for all through impactful legal and social advocacy.
Details of the Job/Internship
The Centre for Law and Policy Research is hiring a Senior Research Associate with 4+ years of experience to join their office in Bengaluru or New Delhi.
Role and Responsibilities
- Compile, organise, and analyse legal materials including case law, legislation, and policy documents.
- Conduct doctrinal, comparative, and empirical research on constitutional rights and social justice issues.
- Draft research reports, academic papers, policy briefs, and blog posts.
- Support workshops, consultations, and public events.
- Assist in project management including timelines, documentation, and reporting.
- Contribute to dissemination efforts such as website content, newsletters, and social media.
- Coordinate with academics, civil society groups, and government stakeholders.
- Undertake additional administrative responsibilities as assigned.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law with strong academic credentials.
- Postgraduate degree in Law, Public Policy, or related fields preferred.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in legal research, litigation, or policy advocacy.
- Prior work on Dalit and Adivasi rights, gender justice, disability rights, or minority rights is an advantage.
- Demonstrated commitment to rights-based research and social justice.
