Details of the Job/Internship
National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) is hiring for a Senior Legal Role with a minimum of 12 years of post-qualification experience to join their Mumbai office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate high-risk, strategic contracts with domestic and foreign entities.
- Advise business, product, and functional teams on legal and regulatory matters.
- Manage litigation, intellectual property, and dispute resolution.
- Support compliance functions in interpreting regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate with external counsels for opinions and legal strategy.
- Participate in board and committee meetings and contribute to legal documentation and policy formation.
- Monitor legal developments and update internal stakeholders.
- Implement legal documentation management systems.
Eligibility
- LL.B. degree (preferably five-year course).
- Minimum 12 years of post-qualification experience.
- Strong knowledge of contracts, IP laws, compliance, litigation, and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience in payments legislation, data protection, and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in using AI tools for contract and compliance management is preferred.
