Details of the Job/Internship

Flex is seeking a Senior Subject Matter Expert – Legal to join their legal team, Pune office. This role will focus on supporting commercial and procurement legal matters across global operations, particularly within the manufacturing, electronics, or semiconductor industries.

Role and Responsibilities

• Review and negotiate commercial and procurement contracts, ensuring compliance with internal risk standards and business goals.
• Raise legal red flags and offer recommendations to the wider Legal Department.
• Collaborate with regional attorneys and contract managers globally.
• Interact with clients' legal departments to resolve contractual issues when required.
• Manage the contract lifecycle from initiation through negotiation, execution, and closure.
• Provide legal advice on foreign and domestic transactions related to manufacturing, IP, services, inventory, and financing.
• Effectively manage across time zones.
• Serve as a mentor/coach to junior attorneys within the legal team.

Eligibility

• Qualified lawyer with experience in large multinational manufacturing firms.
• Experience in electronics/electrical or semiconductor industry preferred.
• Strong commercial and procurement contracting experience.
• Excellent cross-cultural communication and collaboration skills.
• Proven ability to work in a large, diverse team environment.
• Leadership traits and mentoring capabilities.
• Comfortable working with international stakeholders across time zones.
