Details of the Job/Internship
Treelife is hiring an Associate – Tax & Regulatory Advisory with experience of 3–5 years to join their team.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide advisory services on income-tax implications and regulatory frameworks including FEMA regulations such as ODI, OPI, and FDI.
- Lead transaction advisory assignments involving M&A structuring, secondary transactions, and reorganisations.
- Advise clients on ESOP structuring, implementation, and taxation including employee incentive plans and exit-related tax considerations.
- Assist clients with cap table structuring and equity optimisation across founders, investors, and ESOP pools.
- Lead assignments related to Alternative Investment Fund (AIF) setup including structuring and regulatory approvals.
- Provide guidance on GIFT IFSC regulations and support fund and entity setup in IFSC.
Eligibility
- Qualified Chartered Accountant.
- 3–5 years of post-qualification work experience with at least 2 years in Big4 or equivalent organisations.
- Strong understanding of tax regulations and regulatory frameworks including FEMA, RBI, SEBI, and IFSCA.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Tally.
- Excellent communication skills.
