Details of the Job/Internship
Cipla is hiring a Senior Team Member – Legal with 5–7 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
Role and Responsibilities
- Conducting trademark searches in India and international jurisdictions.
- Advising on trademark registrability, use, branding, and coining.
- Drafting and responding to examination reports, oppositions, affidavits, and notices.
- Attending show cause hearings and managing trademark renewals.
- Handling trademark due diligence and advising on brand viability.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating IP assignment and licence agreements.
- Managing trademark databases and sharing periodic updates with stakeholders.
- Advising on IP litigations and coordinating with litigation teams and external counsels.
- Drafting and reviewing privacy policies, terms of use, disclaimers, and consent letters.
- Reviewing advertisements, social media content, and online materials for copyright compliance.
- Handling domain name and copyright-related legal work.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating NDAs, service agreements, supply and distribution agreements, and other commercial contracts.
- Advising business teams on legal risks and required internal approvals.
Eligibility
- Qualified LL.B.
- 5–7 years of relevant legal work experience.
