Shastrarth Moot Court Competition, 2025 shall be held on 21 , 22 , & 23 March, 2025 at the Bhagubai Changu Thakur College of Law, New Panvel, Plot No. 4, Sector 11, Khanda colony, New Panvel East, Maharashtra - 410 206.

Details of the Organization

Shri Ramsheth Thakur, Ex. M.P. and Chairman of Janardan Bhagat Shikshan Prasarak Sanstha, is a great visionary who recognized the evolving needs of Raigad district due to urbanization and industrialization. In response to this vision, the Sanstha took a crucial step towards advancing higher education by establishing Bhagubai Changu Thakur College of Law, New Panvel, in memory of Mrs. Bhagubai Changu Thakur, in the academic year 2009-2010.

The college is NAAC accrediated and approved by the Bar Council of India and affiliated with the University of Mumbai. It stands as a beacon of legal education in Navi Mumbai and Raigad, offering state-of-the-art facilities, including spacious classrooms, a vast library, and a well-furnished moot court hall.

From its inception, the college has supplemented its educational program with clinical legal education and a practical- oriented approach, striving to enhance the abilities of its students.

Details of the Moot Court Competition

This prestigious competition aims to provide a platform for law students to showcase their legal acumen, research skills, and advocacy skills. The moot problem revolves around contemporary environmental & legal issue, ensuring an engaging and intellectually stimulating experience for all participants.

Official Language The official language of the competition shall be English, for written as well as oral submissions.

Dress Code :Participants shall be in advocate's attire i.e. Black and White Formals excluding advocate's band throughout the conduct of the Competition (Researcher's Test, Inaugural Ceremony, Oral Rounds, Valedictory Ceremony and Prize Distribution).

Eligibility

All students duly enrolled and pursuing a full-time 3-year LL.B. program or a 5-year integrated LL.B. program from the Institution/University situated in India and recognized by the Bar Council of India or equally competent authority shall be eligible to participate in the competition.
In case of any ambiguity, the Organizers reserve the right to decide thereto, which shall be final and binding.

NUMBER OF TEAMS: Subject to the provisions of this Competition, the Organizing Committee shall accept the registration of a maximum of 24 Teams on first come first serve basis.

Team Composition: Each team shall comprise a maximum number of three members (two speakers and one researcher) or a minimum number of two members (one speaker and one speaker-cumresearcher)
