Details of the Job/Internship
VAIA is hiring a Sustainability Legal Analyst with 0–2 years of experience to join their team in Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
- Research and analyze ESG regulations, policies, and best practices.
- Assess ESG risks and opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with legal and sustainability reporting requirements.
- Support development and implementation of ESG strategies.
- Provide legal advice on disclosures, due diligence, and reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD, CSRD).
- Collaborate with internal teams on ESG integration.
- Liaise with external stakeholders to align strategies.
- Prepare reports, assessments, and presentations for management.
Eligibility
- Law degree with specialization in environmental law or governance.
- 0–2 years of experience in ESG, law, or sustainability.
- Familiar with ESG standards: GRI, SASB, TCFD, CSRD.
- Strong knowledge of ESG regulations like EU Taxonomy, SEC rules.
- Excellent legal analysis and communication skills.
- Certifications (e.g., CFA ESG, GRI) preferred.
- Experience in corporate law or sustainable finance is an advantage.
