Details of the Job/Internship

Vaia Climate is hiring a Sustainability Legal Analyst with 0–2 years of experience to support ESG compliance and sustainability initiatives.

Role and Responsibilities

• Conduct research and analysis on ESG regulations, policies, and industry best practices.
• Assess and monitor ESG risks and opportunities for the organization and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with ESG-related legal and regulatory requirements.
• Support development and implementation of ESG policies, strategies, and initiatives.
• Provide legal guidance on sustainability disclosures, due diligence, and ESG reporting frameworks.
• Collaborate with internal teams to integrate ESG factors into business decisions.
• Engage with external stakeholders including regulatory bodies, investors, and sustainability organizations.
• Prepare ESG reports, risk assessments, and presentations for senior management and external stakeholders.

Eligibility

• Law degree with specialization in environmental law, corporate governance, or sustainability regulations.
• 0–2 years of experience in environmental law, corporate governance, or related fields.
• Familiarity with ESG reporting standards (GRI, SASB, TCFD, CSRD, PRI).
• Understanding of global and regional ESG regulations including EU Taxonomy and SEC climate disclosure rules.
• Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and engage external stakeholders.
• Preferred: ESG-related certifications (e.g., CFA ESG Investing, GRI Certification) and knowledge of carbon accounting or sustainable finance.
