Details of the Job/Internship
Trilegal is hiring an Associate – Indirect Tax with 1–3 years of relevant experience to join their office in Delhi, NCR. The role involves client advisory and litigation work related to indirect taxes.
Role and Responsibilities
- Advise clients on GST and related laws.
- Handle litigation and investigation assignments, including drafting replies, appeals, and briefing counsels and senior counsels.
- Conduct research using legal databases and stay updated on case laws and regulatory changes.
- Prepare and disseminate updates on indirect tax trends to the team.
- Develop theoretical understanding of laws and acts through research.
- Deliver high-quality work while adhering to timelines and process standards.
Eligibility
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in indirect tax.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Knowledge of GST (mandatory) and preferably Customs, State Excise, and SEZ laws.
- Excellent proficiency in English and strong drafting skills.
