Details of the Job/Internship

Cipla is hiring for the position of Team Member - Legal with 2-6 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai. 

Role and Responsibilities

1. Contract Drafting, Review & Negotiation

• Independently draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts including:
  • Confidentiality Agreements (NDAs)
  • Leave & License Agreements
  • Service Agreements
  • Letters of Authority/Undertaking
  • Employment Agreements
• Liaise with business teams and external stakeholders for timely execution of agreements.
• Ensure all documentation is in line with internal policies and timelines.

2. Support in Strategic Commercial Transactions

• Assist in structuring and documentation for commercial deals including:
• In-licensing / Out-licensing Agreements.
• Supply & Distribution Arrangements.
• Coordinate with internal teams for approvals, and ensure adherence to local and international laws.
• Identify legal and commercial risks and suggest mitigation strategies.

3. Legal Advisory & Contract Analysis

• Provide preliminary contract interpretation and risk analysis.
• Assist in the preparation of legal opinions and responses to queries on contract obligations and modifications.
• Collaborate with business teams to collect information and documents relevant to legal opinions.

4. Project & Research Support

• Support ad-hoc legal projects initiated by Team Leads.
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal notes on statutory and regulatory developments, especially in the pharmaceutical sector.
• Coordinate with internal/external stakeholders and prepare project updates and reports.

Eligibility

• Experience Required: 2–6 Years.
• Education: LLB from a recognized university.

Salary/Stipend
