Details of the Job/Internship
StratJuris is hiring a Trademark Associate for a full-time, on-site retainer role in Pune.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft and vet specialized agreements, such as Co-Existence and Franchise Agreements.
- Conduct comprehensive trademark research, including registrability, infringement, and watch-service searches.
- Draft Trademark Specifications, Statements of Opposition, and Counter-Statements.
- File trademark applications under the Madrid Protocol and respond to international examination reports.
- Manage trademark enforcement proceedings both within India and in foreign jurisdictions.
- Represent clients in hearings before the Trademark Registry and Copyright Office.
- Handle copyright applications and respond to objections raised by regulatory authorities.
- Oversee domain name disputes and related arbitrations (e.g., UDRP proceedings).
- File for "Well-Known Trademark" status and manage customs recordals for IP protection.
- Coordinate with a network of overseas associates and manage business development correspondence.
Eligibility
- Degree in Law (LLB/LLM) from a recognized institution.
- Practical knowledge of Indian and International Trademark laws.
- Experience in IP drafting, filing, and prosecution.
- Strong research and analytical skills for conducting IP searches.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client and lead management.
