Details of the Job/Internship

Schneider Electric is hiring a Trademark Attorney with experience of 3+ years to join their office in Bengaluru or Gurgaon.

Role and Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage global trademark portfolios for various international lines of business.
• Manage trademark filing, prosecution, and maintenance actions globally.
• Perform and analyze trademark clearance searches to provide legal opinions and business risk assessments.
• Review office actions and watch notices to provide strategic recommendations and responses.
• Investigate trademark and copyright infringement and research online brand abuse findings.
• Advise business managers on legal and reputational risks regarding new products and services.
• Participate in drafting global trademark policies, usage guidelines, and best practices.
• Coordinate with a global network of outside counsel and agents for portfolio maintenance.
• Support due diligence for acquisitions, divestitures, and brand migrations.

Eligibility

• At least 3+ years of experience in intellectual property focusing on trademark portfolio management.
• Masters or Advanced degree in Intellectual Property Law.
• Qualified professional representative under the local national qualification system.
• Strong knowledge of the Paris Convention and Madrid Protocol.
• Fluency in English (oral and written).
• Preferred: Prior in-house experience and a qualified representative before the local IP Office.
