Details of the Job/Internship

Engineer IP is hiring for the position of Trademark Paralegal US to join their office in Mohali district.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft and prepare responses to USPTO Office Actions under attorney supervision.
• Conduct comprehensive trademark searches and assist in preparing clearance opinions.
• Manage and maintain a trademark docket, ensuring all critical deadlines are tracked and met.
• Assist with filing new U.S. and international trademark applications.
• Coordinate with foreign associates regarding international filings and manage associated deadlines.
• Communicate with clients about application statuses, deadlines, and information requests.
• Prepare and file maintenance documents such as Declarations of Use, Renewals, and Assignments.
• Monitor the USPTO database for updates on pending applications and registrations.
• Support attorneys with trademark enforcement actions, oppositions, cancellations, and litigation matters.
• Manage client trademark portfolios, providing reporting and strategic support.

Eligibility

• Experience with international trademark filings through WIPO and the Madrid Protocol.
• Basic knowledge of copyright law and domain name dispute processes is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Familiarity with platforms such as TEAS, TSDR, TTABVUE, and IP docketing systems.
