Details of the Job/Internship

Blue Inkk is hiring a Trademark Prosecution Associate with experience of 5+ years to join their office in Noida.

Role and Responsibilities

• Handle show cause hearing matters and prepare written submissions.
• Draft and file notices of opposition and counter statements.
• Attend opposition and rectification proceedings.
• Prepare and file evidence in support of opposition or application.
• Manage assignments, transmissions, licensing, and recordal matters.
• Track prosecution timelines and coordinate with clients.
• Advise clients on registrability, objections, and prosecution strategy.
• Conduct regular follow-ups with the Trade Marks Registry.
• Monitor and manage trademark portfolios for domestic and international clients.
• Coordinate with foreign associates for overseas filings and prosecution.
• Handle Madrid Protocol designations, filings, refusals, and responses.
• Manage priority claims and convention applications.
• Draft cease-and-desist notices and settlement agreements.

Eligibility

• LL.B. from a recognised university.
• Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in trademark prosecution.
• Strong drafting skills with sound knowledge of the Trade Marks Act, 1999 and Trade Marks Rules.
• Practical experience with Trade Marks Registry procedures and hearings.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple matters efficiently.
• Prior experience in a law firm or IP boutique is preferred.
• Client-handling experience is preferred.
• Experience in international trademark filings, including the Madrid Protocol, is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
