Details of the Job/Internship

Inventus is hiring a Trademark Paralegal with a minimum of 2 years of experience to support its intellectual property practice.

Role and Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain trademark portfolios for domestic and international clients.
• Track, docket, and communicate all critical deadlines related to trademark prosecution and maintenance.
• Prepare and file trademark applications with the USPTO under attorney supervision.
• Assist in responding to Office Actions, including organising supporting documentation.
• Prepare and file Statements of Use, extensions, and post-registration maintenance documents such as Sections 8, 9, and 15 filings.
• Conduct trademark clearance searches using USPTO TESS and other databases.
• Organise and present search results for legal review.
• Communicate with clients, provide updates, and respond to routine enquiries.
• Prepare and distribute status reports and important notifications.
• Maintain accurate records in docketing and matter management systems.

Eligibility

• Minimum 2 years of trademark paralegal experience in a law firm, in-house legal team, or similar setting.
• Hands-on experience with USPTO trademark prosecution processes.
• Proficiency in USPTO TESS, TSDR, and electronic filing systems such as TEAS.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently.
• Client-focused approach with a strong interest in intellectual property law.

Salary/Stipend
