Details of the Job/Internship
Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking is hiring a Trainee – Legal (Contract) to join their office in Singapore. This is a one-year contract, renewable for another year, involving assistance with legal matters including transactions, business operations, and corporate structure, along with providing transactional legal support across various product lines.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist in a full spectrum of legal work under the supervision of Legal Counsel.
- Provide transactional legal support across product lines in Singapore.
- Review and negotiate agreements including financing, global markets, lending, debt issuance, confidentiality, and engagement documents.
- Conduct legal and regulatory research across Asia Pacific jurisdictions.
- Assist in legal drafting and company secretarial work.
- Support administrative tasks including transaction execution and legal billing.
- Maintain and update legal templates in line with regulatory changes.
- Liaise with external counsel and internal stakeholders.
Eligibility
- Law degree or diploma in law with a common law background.
- Experience in financial services or law firms is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent command of English; Chinese proficiency is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Proactive approach with willingness to learn and grow.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Basic knowledge of wholesale banking products is a plus.
