Details of the Job/Internship

AZB & Partners is hiring for the position of Transactional Lawyer with 3-8 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, shareholder agreements, and other transactional documentation.
• Provide legal and strategic advice to clients on Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), joint ventures, investments, and other corporate transactions.
• Conduct and supervise legal due diligence exercises, identifying and mitigating key legal risks.
• Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to structure transactions that are both legally compliant and commercially viable.
• Ensure adherence to applicable corporate, regulatory, and securities laws throughout the transaction lifecycle.
• Support business development initiatives by contributing to knowledge sharing and thought leadership within the practice group.

Eligibility

• LL.B. degree from a recognized institution; additional legal certifications will be an advantage.
• 3–8 years of post-qualification experience in transactional/corporate law at a reputed law firm or in-house legal department.
• Strong understanding of Indian corporate law, regulatory frameworks, M&A, and commercial transactions.
• Demonstrated expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex legal documents.
• Proficient in legal due diligence and risk analysis.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple transactions and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented, with a proactive and solution-focused approach to legal challenges.
