Details of the Job/Internship
Lotus Interworks is hiring a Vendor Compliance & Digital Reputation Advocate in India (Remote/Onsite, India). The ideal candidate should have 3+ years of experience in Legal, Compliance, and Vendor Management, preferably in the Gig Platform, Digital Marketplace, or Freelancing Industry.
Role and Responsibilities
- Vendor Compliance Oversight – Ensure all vendors, freelancers, and partners fully understand and comply with agreements and operational policies before onboarding.
- Policy Communication & Enforcement – Clearly communicate rules, payment policies, service expectations, and penalties to vendors, ensuring transparency and compliance.
- Compliance Audits & Updates – Regularly review and update vendor compliance policies to align with global digital marketplace standards and legal regulations.
- Digital Reputation Protection – Draft, send, and follow up on legal notices to remove fake reviews, defamatory statements, or false allegations from online platforms like Google, Glassdoor, and LinkedIn.
- Review Platform Coordination – Build and maintain relationships with review platforms, complaint forums, and online vendors to safeguard the company’s digital reputation.
- Risk Mitigation & Preemptive Action – Identify and address potential reputation risks by implementing proactive legal and compliance measures.
- Vendor Dispute Resolution – Serve as the primary legal contact for vendor disputes, complaints, and compliance-related escalations, ensuring fair and timely resolution.
- Internal Legal Support – Assist internal teams in resolving vendor-related legal queries concerning agreements, payments, deliverables, and compliance matters.
- Process & Documentation Management – Establish and maintain a centralized system for vendor onboarding, agreement execution, compliance tracking, and review management.
- Legal Communication & Templates – Draft and manage legal notices, escalation responses, and vendor communication templates to ensure consistency and legal accuracy.
Eligibility
- LL.B or equivalent legal qualification with a strong understanding of gig economy operations and digital workforce models.
- 3+ years of experience in Legal, Compliance, Vendor Management, or Reputation Management.
- Exceptional English communication and drafting skills.
- In-depth knowledge of Indian and global digital marketplace regulations, freelancer/vendor contracts, and platform policies.
- Proven expertise in handling online defamation, fake review removal, and digital reputation management.
- Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with legal forums, review platforms, vendors, and internal teams.
- Solution-driven approach, balancing compliance requirements with seamless operations and positive vendor relationships.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with gig economy platforms such as Upwork, Fiverr, Freelancer, or similar marketplaces.
- Understanding of international vendor compliance regulations.
- Hands-on experience with online review monitoring tools.
