Maatrum Technologies is hiring a Vetting Lawyer to join their team in India. The role involves verifying property-related collateral documents submitted by bank customers, ensuring authenticity, legality, and compliance with property laws.
Role and Responsibilities
- Visit assigned banks and examine collateral documents submitted by customers.
- Verify the authenticity, validity, and originality of legal property documents.
- Conduct detailed title verification to ensure properties are free from encumbrances.
- Identify discrepancies or fraudulent documentation and escalate issues as required.
- Prepare and submit detailed legal vetting reports with findings and recommendations.
- Provide certification post-verification of genuine documents.
- Coordinate with bank officials and legal teams to ensure efficient verification processes.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized institution.
- Strong understanding of property laws, title verification, and documentation.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and risk assessment skills.
- Excellent communication and report-writing abilities.
- Willingness to travel for bank visits.
- Prior experience in the banking or financial services sector preferred.
- Familiarity with land records, encumbrance certificates, and registration procedures.
