Details of the Job/Internship
Infomatic Solutions is hiring a Virtual Legal Assistant (US Family Law) with over 2 years of experience to work remotely in a permanent work-from-home role.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to lawyers.
- Handle communication with clients.
- Set up shells and templates for pleadings, discovery, and letters.
- Download pleadings/discovery and save them.
- Communicate with opposing counsel via phone and/or email, answer phones/screen calls, input and track expenses.
- Prepare discovery documents such as Family Law Form Interrogatories, Demand for Production of Documents, Notices, Subpoenas, Verification Forms, and discovery worksheets.
- E-filing via Orange County Superior Court’s systems (e.g., OneLegal or Odyssey).
- Prepare Judicial Council forms including standard California family law forms (e.g., FL-100, FL-120, FL-150, FL-300).
Eligibility
- LLB, LLM, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in US Family Law.
- Familiarity with legal procedures and protocols.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
- Willingness to work in the US Night Shift (Monday to Friday – 8:30 pm to 5:30 am IST).
- Must have a laptop and reliable internet connectivity.
Salary/Stipend
Compensation details will be finalized during the interview process with the selected candidate.
