Details of the Organization

Integral University, Lucknow, established under Act Number 9 of 2004 by the State Government of Uttar Pradesh, is the first enacted Minority University in India. It is recognized by the UGC under Sections 2(f) and 12B and accredited A+ by NAAC. The university is also recognized as a Scientific & Industrial Research Organisation (SIRO) by the Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India.

The Faculty of Law at Integral University offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. programs, focusing on legal research, advocacy, and professional training. With experienced faculty members, the department aims to prepare students for academic excellence and legal practice.

Details of the MUN/Debate/Competition

The Vox Publica: 1st Public Interest Litigation (PIL) Drafting Competition is designed to enhance student drafting skills and understanding of PIL mechanisms. Participants will analyze and draft PILs on pressing legal and social issues, preparing them for public interest advocacy.

Theme: Promoting Social Equity Through Legal Aid and Public Interest Advocacy in
Contemporary Times.

Sub - Themes:

• Digital Financial Fraud
• Gender-Neutral Laws
• Child Labor and Enforcement of Laws
• Prison Reforms
• Enforcement of Animal Welfare Laws
• Cybersecurity and Data Privacy
• Food Adulteration
• Participants may also draft a PIL on any other relevant issue, provided it addresses:
  • Access to justice for marginalized communities.
  • Challenges in implementing legal aid services.
  • Advocacy for social and economic rights.
  • Addressing systemic discrimination and promoting equality.
  • Environmental justice and its impact on vulnerable populations.

Eligibility

The competition is open to undergraduate and postgraduate law students from recognized law schools, colleges, and universities across India.
