Details of the Workshop/Training Programme
The first day of the workshop focuses on the Indian Constitution and its role in ensuring social justice. This session will delve into the fundamental principles of the Constitution, exploring its relevance in addressing social inequalities and promoting equity.
Participants will gain insights into how constitutional provisions can be utilized to advocate for marginalized communities and promote fairness within society. Experts will guide discussions on constitutional amendments, case laws, and the evolving nature of social justice in contemporary India
Day two is dedicated to examining gender-based issues and the legal frameworks that address them. This session aims to shed light on the challenges faced by various gender identities and the societal norms that contribute to discrimination. It will explore the progress made in terms of legal reforms and protections, such as anti-discrimination laws, rights of the LGBTQ+ community, and mechanisms for reporting and addressing gender-based violence. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with activists, legal scholars, and policymakers who are at the forefront of advocating for gender equality and justice.
The final day of the workshop takes a comprehensive approach by exploring the concept of intersectionality and its significance in achieving justice for all.
