The office is led by the Cooperative Ombudsman and functions out of the World Trade Centre in New Delhi. It serves as a regulatory and redressal body to ensure transparency and legal adherence within cooperative institutions in India.

Details of the Job/Internship

The Office of the Cooperative Ombudsman is hiring a Young Professional (Legal) with a minimum of 1 year of experience to join their office in New Delhi. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide legal assistance to the Cooperative Ombudsman in daily operations.
• Handle matters specifically related to Multi-State Cooperative Societies.
• Draft legal documents and conduct research on relevant statutes and regulations.
• Assist in the administrative and legal processing of complaints or petitions filed with the Ombudsman.

Eligibility

• Age: Not more than 32 years.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience (extendable).
• Essential Education: LLB from any National Law University, National Law School, or recognized institution in India.
• Desirable: Postgraduate Degree in Law (LLM).
• Desirable: Prior experience in matters related to Multi-State Cooperative Societies.
