Details of the Job/Internship
Magma General Insurance Limited is hiring a Zonal Lead – Legal Claims to manage motor third-party litigation and support the legal claims function.
Role and Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the delivery of legal expertise for motor third-party litigation.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of motor third-party cases and litigation trends.
- Understand court practices, geographical variations, and challenges in motor TP litigation.
- Lead zonal legal teams to ensure timely handling and effective defence of cases.
- Plan, allocate, and manage resources for TP and assigned litigation matters.
- Drive mediation and settlement initiatives where appropriate.
- Ensure team motivation, harmony, productivity, and achievement of targets.
- Maintain ticket-size control and effective litigation outcomes.
- Stay updated on judgments of the Supreme Court and High Courts and guide teams accordingly.
- Oversee investigation management related to third-party claims.
- Handle matters related to insurance law, motor TP claims, workmen compensation, consumer litigation, executions, recovery, and appeals.
- Assist the Head – Legal Claims in overall legal claims management.
- Undertake special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned.
