Details of the Job/Internship

Nayara Energy is hiring a Zonal Legal Counsel – Retail Outlet Operations with over 12 years of experience, including at least 3 years in the petroleum or gas industry at Chennai location.

Role and Responsibilities

• Manage litigation across courts and tribunals, coordinate with departments, and brief external counsel.
• Handle pre-litigation matters, regulatory notices, and consumer complaints.
• Draft and standardize legal documents including agreements, LOAs, LOIs, and leases.
• Ensure legal compliance for retail outlet expansion and land verification.
• Provide legal opinions on land titles, statutory licenses, agreements, and regulatory notices.
• Manage legal aspects of commissioned retail outlets and franchise operations.
• Support reconstitution of retail outlets and implementation of judicial directions.
• Assist in alternate fuel tie-ups, including CNG and EV charging agreements.
• Maintain MIS and update on legal matters.
• Advise on tail management, transport agreements, and training of business teams.
• Support NFR activities and expansion of depots and ethanol plants.
• Coordinate with local authorities and respond to regulatory queries.

Eligibility

• LLB/LLM from a reputed institute.
• 12+ years of total experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the petroleum or gas industry.
