Details of the Job/Internship

WeRize is hiring a Zonal Legal Manager – LAP with 5–7 years of experience to join their team in New Delhi. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Verify property documents and support the credit team during loan sanctions.
• Coordinate with law firms, advocates, and agencies to obtain legal reports and clearances.
• Guide on charge creation and resolve documentation gaps.
• Liaise with government authorities for charge creation, rectification, and release.
• Identify and onboard legal vendors and monitor their performance.
• Ensure compliance with property laws and mitigate legal risks.
• Provide legal support to Credit, Risk, Sales, Collections, and Operations teams.
• Support legal recovery actions in coordination with the collections team.
• Maintain dashboards and MIS for vendor and legal risk tracking.
• Report vendor malpractice or legal non-compliance.

Eligibility

• LL.B. (3-year or 5-year) from a recognized university.
• 5–7 years of legal experience, preferably in NBFCs or financial institutions.
• Strong knowledge of property laws, SARFAESI, Stamp and Registration Acts.
• Experience in working with legal vendors and regulatory bodies.
• Proficiency in MS Office and legal tech tools.
